The Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization to host CSU Annual Gala

Manhattan, NY The Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization (CSU) has set a date for the CSU Annual Gala, to take place on Wednesday, October 22nd at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square.

The evening will bring together international leaders in architecture, development, climate action, and design to celebrate contributions to sustainable urbanization. The event includes dinner, open bar, and networking for professionals who are shaping more equitable and resilient urban futures.

CSU is pleased to recognize two distinguished honorees: MaryAnne Gilmartin, one of New York’s most influential real estate developers and founder and CEO of MAG Partners, and Gina Bocra, vice president of WSP. Serving as CEO of MAG Partners, MaryAnne Gilmartin’s decades-long career spans transformative urban projects that prioritize community engagement and sustainable design, most notably overseeing the Barclays Center and Pacific Park in Brooklyn. Gina Bocra serves as the vice president at WSP, a leading global engineering and professional services firm. She drives sustainability strategies for large-scale developments and infrastructure and is a respected leader in sustainable building and environmental policy. 

This year’s Chair Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to H.E. Talal Abu Ghazaleh, former chair of the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development, in honor of his global leadership in knowledge-based development.

The Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization is a nonprofit that promotes awareness and interdisciplinary dialogue around sustainable urban development. This year’s gala reflects CSU’s mission to advance sustainable solutions that serve cities and communities worldwide. 

Additional awardees for exemplary contributions to sustainable and innovative urban development include:

• St. John’s Terminal / Google;

• 555 Greenwich / Hudson Square Properties (Trinity Church, Norges Bank, & Hines);

• Documentary filmmakers Basia & Leonard Myszynski for Women of Carbon;

• Raina Maiga, climate advocate and CEO, Compleyes.ai.
