Pressberg of SCG Retail arranges 1,300 s/f lease

SCG Retail has signed a 1,300 s/f lease for Carnegie Hill Veterinarians at 1703 Third Ave. between 95th and 96th. David Pressberg, the SCG Retail broker representing Carnegie Hill Vets, said, "I needed to find Dr. Miller something better than his existing space on East 89th, but it had to be nearby so that the new location was still convenient for his current clients." 1703 Third Ave., Normandy Court, is owned by Millstein Props. and has 1,400 apartments with ground/basement retail space anchored by Gristedes. TD Bank is on the corner at 96th St. Carnegie Hill Vets will be adjacent to the specialty pet shop Furry Paws. The space has been vacant for about a year. "We're very pleased with the deal," said Miller. "David did a great job, recognizing that we needed to stay in the neighborhood and wanted to find something fast." Pressberg was the only broker on the deal. Lester Schwalb of Millstein Properties represented the landlord on the transaction. Carnegie Hill Vets will take possession of the space in early February and plan on opening in May. To read more stories like this, visit our New York City section.
