Outside the Region: Industrious completes two leases: 36,000 s/f in N.J. and 30,000 s/f in CA

Short Hills, NJ Industrious, a premium flexible workspace provider, has taken space in two new mall locations: The Mall at Short Hills in with Taubman and Broadway Plaza, in Walnut Creek, Ca., its second location in partnership with Macerich.

In The Mall at Short Hills, Industrious will take 30,000 s/f in the former Saks Fifth Ave.

At Broadway Plaza, Industrious will be the first occupant in a newly-constructed expansion space on the second floor above retail, taking 36,000 s/f.

Landlords are recognizing that flexible workspaces are a viable option for big-boxes.  Industrious opened its first mall location earlier this year in a former Barney’s at Fashion Square, in Scottsdale, AZ - it witnessed staggering success, reaching near complete occupancy in just under 10 weeks.
