Huntington, NY Douglas Elliman has hired two new licensed real estate employees, Jason Merrell and Diane Solano.

Merrell has joined the firm as a licensed real estate salesperson/commercial specialist. Prior to his career with the company, he was an accomplished investment advisor with nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Building client relationships helped him get off to a fast start in commercial real estate. Born and raised in Sayville and now living on the North Shore, he is familiar with a wide range of areas on Long Island. 

He attended the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. He holds a B.B.A. in Finance and has earned the “Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certified” (CIREC) designation. He currently resides in Huntington where he is actively involved in community activities, and charity events. 

Solano, formerly of GOT Properties, LLC, has joined the firm as a licensed associate real estate broker. With 19 years of commercial real estate experience including running her own brokerage, she has  negotiated multi-million dollar transactions consisting of apartment buildings, industrial buildings, retail centers, office buildings and development sites within the Long Island and NYC area. She has leased industrial spaces, office spaces, and retail spaces and is highly accomplished in the business negotiation process through collectively grouping skilled professional individuals, organizations and corporations to create optimum business investment performance. She is CDPE certified and specializes in all areas of commercial real estate.
