Consolo and Aquino of Pru. Douglas Elliman to market 1138 Third Ave.

The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice president, of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Leasing and Sales Division, which holds the exclusive agency for the block front of stores on Third Avenue between 66th and 67th Sts., is now marketing the latest store in the portfolio to become available, 1138 Third Ave. "Third Ave. in the mid-60s is a seven-day a week shopping district and home to well-to-do, discriminating singles and families, making this address particularly attractive for any high-profile retailer," says Consolo. "Shoppers spend the day on the Upper East Side, visiting countless luxury apparel and accessories boutiques before dining in one of the area's many fine restaurants." "This thoroughfare is a veritable shopper's haven, home to national and international retailers. Four new stores just signed leases in the neighborhood, targeting young, well-heeled shoppers: True Religion, LuluLemon, Aldo and Cream," said Consolo. "The dominant customer in this neighborhood is female, ages 25 to 45, all of whom have a high disposable income, in excess of six figures," said Aquino. "Based on the high caliber of the new and present fashion tenants in the area, it's apparent that the standard Upper East Side customer is both affluent and designer-driven." Consolo and Aquino have also been selected to market a portfolio of retail properties north of Central Park, in the historic neighborhood of Harlem. "In a flourishing community where magnificent Old World buildings meet a wide-ranging demographic of loyal shoppers, Harlem is a hidden gem for regional, national and international retailers," said Consolo. "We are marketing 15 brand new buildings, 75 stores and 125,000 s/f along Central Park North, Fifth and Seventh Aves., among other teeming Harlem corridors. We plan to bring a wide range of shops to this picturesque area." "Harlem is on the cusp of becoming the new place to be for retail companies," said Aquino. Consolo and Aquino have long heralded the retail resurgence within Harlem and established a strong presence in the neighborhood, through new offices and exclusive agencies. The duo, along with retail consultant Arthur Maglio, has represented many Harlem landlords in their expanded leasing needs. "We are seeing a distinct change in Harlem's retail landscape and are thrilled to be playing a large role in the area's transformation," said Consolo. "We are repositioning some of Harlem's most sought-after retail space, all of which has been restored to its original grandeur." Prudential Douglas Elliman's retail group specializes in providing comprehensive retail sales and leasing counsel to an array of tenants and landlords, both nationally and internationally.  With expertise in markets across the country, the group continually locates ideal retail spaces from coast to coast.  The retail team identifies and secures the best locations for prominent international retailer's U.S. operations, as well as represents some of the country's top landlords in finding high profile retailers for their spaces.
