C2 Architecture completes $20 million Electric City; joint project between Prime Cos. & Highbridge Development

Schenectady, NY C2 Architecture celebrated the completion of the $20 million Electric City mixed-use project at a ribbon cutting attended by state and local officials and members of the business community.

Electric City is a joint project between Prime Cos. and Highbridge Development. C2 Architecture was the architect. Electric City boasts 104 apartments and 12,000 s/f of ground floor retail space.

The three-story building, with apartments and ground floor retail space, stands where there were once empty deteriorating buildings.

The Electric City Apartments offer amenities that include a courtyard and parking garage. The courtyard sits on top of the 116-space parking garage that is 15 ft. off the ground and protected on one side by a short wall. The design ensures only tenants and their guests can access the outdoor area. The courtyard features artificial turf grass, lounge chairs, bocce balls, a ping-pong table, gas grills, cornhole boards and patio tables. Still to come are a gas pizza oven and fire pit table with granite counters.

Of the 64 units available, 48 are leased.
