Orange Bank & Trust Company

Impact Highlight: Describe a recent program, initiative, or process implemented by you and the impact on your firm, organization, or community. One of the biggest drivers of our success is that we have bolstered our cash management products to help our real estate clients with the collection of payments and accounts payable. Our Cash Management Team will customize solutions to help our clients optimize cash flow, make more informed decisions, reduce risk, and complete transactions efficiently.

Innovative Outlook: Where do you see the biggest opportunities for innovation in the commercial real estate sector? Products like Positive Pay, meticulously designed to detect and prevent check fraud, alongside robust ACH/wire protections, multi-factor authentication, and advanced site monitoring, represent key technological defenses employed by financial institutions like Orange Bank to mitigate fraud risks for our clients. In addition, integration between software and banking transactions will greatly reduce the time spent on finances.

Corporate Culture: How does your organization foster a culture of innovation among employees and leadership? Innovation is a mindset, not a department. Our approach to fostering a culture of innovation among employees and leadership centers on building psychological safety and implementing structured empowerment. This transforms the organization into a “Client Solution Ecosystem,” where solving client problems serves as the guiding principle, allowing ideas to flow freely and be nurtured.

Beyond Buildings: How do you see innovation in commercial real estate creating a broader impact on communities and the people who live and work in them? Innovative urban planning and development increasingly prioritize mixed-use projects that combine office, retail, residential, and public spaces in walkable areas, as well as the innovative repurposing of existing, older structures. This creates vibrant, dense, and convenient neighborhoods, reducing reliance on cars, generating more foot traffic for local businesses, and providing diverse housing and commercial options.
