Manhattan, NY Multidisciplinary design firm Spectorgroup has been selected to design the new office of alternative asset manager MidOcean Partners. The 26,000 s/f workplace will span the entire 10th floor of 31 West 52nd St., a postmodern tower owned by Paramount Group. Completed in 1986, the building is located across from the Museum of Modern Art.
“We are honored to take on our third collaboration with MidOcean Partners,” said Scott Spector, principal at Spectorgroup. “Our goal is to honor the building’s distinctive architectural character while elevating its interiors through sophisticated contemporary additions that create a clean, warm, and inviting environment. This new office will support their growth, energize their team, and reflect the firm’s forward momentum.”
Spectorgroup’s design approach will reimagine Paramount Group’s prebuilt standard into a fluid workplace tailored to MidOcean’s distinct culture, service model, and anticipated future growth. The design carefully balances polished client-facing spaces and collaborative areas, fostering meaningful connections, seamless teamwork, and elevated employee experience.
“The design of this space puts our people first and creates an environment that inspires teamwork and creativity,” said Damion Brown, chief operating officer of MidOcean Credit Partners. “Working with Spectorgroup is an absolute pleasure. They understood our vision from the start and are best suited to translating it into a space that is both functional and inspiring.
With a legacy spanning six decades, Spectorgroup continues to shape the evolution of corporate interiors across the greater New York metropolitan area through its research-driven approach to design innovation. The new office will reflect the monumental character of 31 West 52nd St. while providing a purposeful, visually engaging environment to support the company’s expansion and approach to service.
