03-18-2014 - Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo to be held on March 18th at the Hilton Long Island in Melville

Anyone connected to Long Island's commercial real estate industry will want to mark Tuesday, March 18th on their calendar. That's the date of the 3rd Annual Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo (www.licree.com) when executives and entrepreneurs representing all facets of Long Island's commercial real estate industry will gather at the Hilton Long Island, 598 Broad Hollow Rd. Organizers say the upcoming Expo, focused on the economic growth of Long Island through the commercial real estate industry, will be even bigger this year than last. Producer, Mark Neuwirt said, "No matter what your field of expertise or your job function, there is opportunity here for you...opportunity to learn, connect, prospect, close business...you name it. This show is about Long Island." One new program is Retail Long Island. Long Island property owners, managers and their representatives will have the ability to meet the real estate acquisition and development teams of many franchises and retailers looking to expand on Long Island. Their program will provide the opportunity to network and then meet privately to discuss their properties. Organizer Michele Michael of Corporate Commercial Realty said, "This is the kind of program we envisioned when creating the expo. To be able to offer one day and one place where Long Island property owners could meet with many retailers looking to expand on Long Island." Information is available on the website. Another new program is "Lunch with the Lenders." This panel discussion will focus on the financing aspect of buying, selling and redeveloping properties on Long Island. Organizer Lyle Sclair said, "The program is designed to facilitate creative real estate transactions that will transform the Long Island economy." It will include: * Traditional Bank * Institutional * Mezzanine * CMBS Their main program, "Ground Level Perspectives from Industry Leaders" is returning as their Kickoff Breakfast this year. Moderated by David Winzelberg of Long Island Business News, last year's program was attended by over 300. The panel will again be headed by Michael Maturo, president of RXR Realty and moderated by David Winzelberg of LIBN. As of this release, there are still places available on the panels. Contact the organizer for information. Other seminars will include CE classes for professionals. The Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo is an educational and networking opportunity. Organizer Lyle Sclair said, "This is Long Island's only full-scale real estate expo breaking down silos bringing together all people across the broad spectrum of the real estate development process." Neuwirt said, "Once per year you have the opportunity to reach more qualified prospects in one day than in six months of any other form of advertising. The Long Island Commercial Real Estate Expo is an effective and affordable way to grow your business. Neuwirt advises exhibitors to reserve space early.
