USGBC-LI to host Second Annual Building Green Gala March 18

The Second Annual Building Green Long Island gala, hosted by the Long Island chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC-LI), will be held on Wednesday, March 18 from 6 - 10 p.m. at the Marriott Long Island. USGBC-LI will honor two individuals for the contributions they have made to the green building community. The honorees are Edward Blumenfeld, principal, Blumenfeld Development Group (BDG), and Steve Bellone, supervisor, town of Babylon. Proceeds from the event will go toward educating the building and construction community and granting five scholarships to local area college students, who will be selected and honored as Emerging Green Builders.
