The Corner at 200 West over 50% leased

Open only three months, Manhattan's new rental property, The Corner at 200 West, has already reached a milestone of having leased over 50% of its inventory. Situated in the Upper West Side at the intersection of 72nd St. and Broadway, the property has averaged a remarkable record of one rental deal a day since mid-March. "We are incredibly pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response that The Corner has received since opening our doors only a few months ago," said David Picket, president of Gotham Organization, Inc., the building's developer and co-owner in a joint venture including Philips International and Rhodes N.Y. With a total of 196 studios, one, two and three-bedroom luxury homes, The Corner has deals out and appointments for every apartment type across the board. The building boasts 45 unique apartment layouts from which to choose and private outdoor space in select units; one of the building's premier residences features a stunning corner three-bedroom layout with a 1,000 s/f terrace that wraps around the front of the building. The building also offers a host of upscale amenities such as 24/7 personal concierge service and doorman, on-site valet services for dry cleaning and housekeeping, bicycle and cold storage, and "The Corner Club" featuring a third floor leisure terrace, tenant lounge and fitness center with three round windows directly looking into the adjoining children's playroom, allowing parents to keep an eye on their children while exercising. In addition, a 10,000 s/f landscaped roof terrace - now open - offers residents a breathtaking personal retreat, including stunning views in every direction of Manhattan's skyline, a 12-foot-long misting wall with a push-button cool-down spray, separate barbeque area, bar, sundeck, movie theater screen for outdoor movies, and an eight by six-foot bronze-clad fireplace with seating for up to 20 people. The Corner, which is available for immediate occupancy and expected to obtain Silver LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, is also pet-friendly with easy access to both Central Park and Riverside Park, Lincoln Center and Columbus Circle. It is located just steps from the city's iconic 72nd St. subway station.
