IREM education: Plan to go back-to-school now!

IREM is offering many courses this summer and fall. The time is now to register! CPM Capstone If you are near completion of the requirements to becoming a certified property manager, read on! Quickly and efficiently complete the final steps needed to earn your CPM designation by enrolling in the CPM Capstone track. This track is designed for CPM candidates who need to complete their management plan requirement and take the CPM certification exam. The course includes: "Management Plan Skills Assessment" and "CPM Certification Exam Preparation Course" and "CPM Certification Exam." Date and Time: August 23 - 27. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Location: 780 Third Ave. (between 48th & 49th St.) Successful Site Management Become an accredited resident manager! Immerse yourself in "Successful Site Management" a course that covers residential site management from A to Z, including enhanced content to address the unique needs of affordable housing and student housing! Topics include: Date and Time: September 20 - 22, and September 30 - October 2 Location: Knickerbocker Plaza - Lobby Level, 1751 Second Ave. (between 91st and 92nd St.) This course is approved in New York State for 22.5 continuing education credit hours. Ethics for the Real Estate Manager This course is a must for all property managers - residential and commercial alike. Addressing ethical dilemmas commonly faced by today's real estate managers, this course teaches strategies for resolving ethical dilemmas and adherence to the IREM Code of Professional Ethics. Learn about: IREM Code of Professional Ethics: Applications to real world situations, ethical duties to clients, tenants/residents, employers, and colleagues Ethical decision making: Ethical vs. unethical business practices, tactics for resolving ethical dilemmas, scenarios with ethical implications Conflict of interest: Fiduciary relationships, conflict of interest scenarios Detailed case study: Enforcement of the IREM Code of Professional Ethics, the role of the IREM Ethics and Discipline Committee, review of actual ethics cases and their implications. Successful completion of this course is required for the CPM designation. Students must pass the closed book exam at the end of the course in order to received credit. This course is approved in New York State for 5 continuing education credit hours.
