Sorbara of ACC Space appointed to CIBS board

Melville, NY The Commercial and Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) appointed Joseph Sorbara as an associate board member.

Sorbara, who currently serves on several CIBS committees, started his real estate career in 2017 and is currently a director at ACC Space. Sorbara specializes in industrial real estate transactions, working extensively with landlords and business owners.

“We are very excited to have Joe join the board,” said CIBS president Dan Wiener. “Joe is highly regarded in the industry as a rising star and we believe he is going to provide a tremendous contribution to board and our industry as a whole.”

In addition to his work for ACC Space, Sorbara is an avid fisherman as well as a Mets, Jets and Knicks fan.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
