SCOR U.S. Corp. signs 10-year, 70,000 s/f extension at One Seaport Pl.

SCOR U.S. Corp., a leading global reinsurance company, has signed a ten-year extension for its 70,000 s/f of offices at Jack Resnick & Sons' One Seaport Plaza. The company, which occupies the entire 20th and 21st floors in the 35-story office tower, still had two years remaining on its original lease. The building is 100% leased. "We're delighted that One Seaport Plaza will continue to serve as SCOR U.S.'s New York headquarters for another decade," said Jonathan Resnick, president of Jack Resnick & Sons. Merrill Roth of Newmark Knight Frank (NKF) represented SCOR U.S. in the long-term leasing transaction while Dennis Brady, executive managing director of leasing and Jonathan Dean, managing director of Jack Resnick & Sons, represented the landlord. Opened in 1984, One Seaport Plaza, which is also known as 199 Water Street, contains 1.1 million s/f of class A office space. The fifth-largest life reinsurer in the world, SCOR Global Life was born from the combination of SCOR Vie and Revios, and offers a broad range of reinsurance for individual and group life insurance, long-term care, substandard risks, critical illness (United Kingdom and Asia) and financing products. It has offices throughout North America, South America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and South Africa. A full service real estate organization, Jack Resnick & Sons has been an industry leader in development, construction, ownership and management since its founding in 1928. Its portfolio currently includes approximately six million square feet of commercial space, including its signature office tower at 110 East 59th Street. It has also developed thousands of luxury residences and continues to own, manage and lease approximately 1,000 rental apartments.
