Schacter joins Allen & Overy as senior counsel

Alan Schacter has recently joined Allen & Overy LLP's New York office as a senior counsel in its U.S. real estate practice. Schacter has over 20 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was general counsel and executive vice president of GFI Capital Resources Group, Inc., a national real estate and financial services company, and prior to that was a partner at Hogan Lovells LLP. In his career, Schacter has represented a broad spectrum of clients, from large public companies, financial institutions and REITs, to mid‑size and smaller companies and individual investors and developers on real estate finance, sales and acquisitions, debt acquisition, workouts and reorganizations, joint ventures, leasing, hospitality and licensing issues.
