Romer Debbas welcomes Bier as partner

New York, NY According to Romer Debbas, LLP, Rick Bier, Esq. has joined the firm as a partner. Bier equally focuses on corporate and business transactions; real estate and land use; and taxation, trusts and estates.

Bier expertly handles all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions, as well as real estate acquisitions, development and financing. Additionally, he has represented sponsors and building owners with all phases of the process of converting residential and commercial properties to condominium status, including property acquisition and financing; preparation, negotiation and approval of the offering prospectus and all related documents; as well as representation through the ultimate sale of condominium units.

 Drawing from over 30 years of experience with prominent national law firms including Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Fox Rothschild LLP, Bier adeptly guides clients – ranging from family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies – through complex business and corporate transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions. A staunch client advocate, he is also well-versed in estate planning and trust administration issues, including business succession planning.

A member of the bar in both New York and New Jersey, Bier is a graduate of Tufts University and received a Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University. 

He is an active member of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Silberman College of Business and the Rothman Institute of Entrepreneurship’s New Jersey Family Business Awards, where he plays an integral in the due diligence process. Bier is also a member of the Family Firm Institute, one of the most influential global networks of thought-leaders in the field of family-enterprise.
