Rochester area chapter of NYSCAR holds 7th Annual "Kick Off" luncheon
The Rochester area chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR) held its 7th Annual "Kick Off" Luncheon on January 25. Heidi Zimmer-Meyer, president of Rochester Downtown Development Corporation was the keynote speaker for the event.
The annual event drew over 70 commercial real estate professionals, affiliates, guests, and prospective members. Zimmer-Meyer praised the group for their continued efforts to promote economic development in our area, especially downtown Rochester. Zimmer-Meyer went on to speak about many of the new development projects in the works for downtown Rochester. In addition to the proposed Paetech Headquarters and the recently announced ESL Headquarters, she cited continued growth in numerous residential developments within center city. * Networking: Meetings scheduled each month provide opportunities to promote the individual's business, and to meet fellow active members in the commercial real estate industry.
* Education: Topics at the monthly meetings include development pro-jects, tours of real estate, alternative methods to traditional real estate disposition methods.
* Ability to participate: Members have the opportunity to participate on a variety of levels. Committees are formed to address education, membership, events, legislative, golf and awards, to name a few. There are many subcommittees formed for special events.
