Racanelli Construction serving as general
contractor for 189-unit Alpine Residential

Hicksville, NY Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. is serving as the general contractor on the Alpine Residential 189-unit housing development. This project, which is part of groundbreaking $111.8 million downtown mixed-use revitalization project, will include apartments and retail space. It is being built on a 2.162-acre parcel of land located at 99 Newbridge Rd., 4 Duffy Ave., and 2-10 Jerusalem Ave.

The transit-oriented project, which is in close proximity to the Long Island Railroad’s Hicksville station, is being developed by Alpine Residential (AR Hicksville, LLC). It was facilitated with the approval of the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency. It will encompass an estimated 382,725 s/f apartment building, approximately 7,600 s/f allocated for commercial/retail space, a structured parking lot, and a landscaped public plaza. Nineteen of the 189 apartment units will be reserved for workforce housing.

Racanelli Construction will be involved in all aspects of the project which will feature wood frame construction, an exterior insulation finishing system (EFIS), Hardie panels, and a brick façade.

The recent groundbreaking for the project, which represents a $132 million dollar investment, including a $111.8 million investment by Alpine Residential, was attended by local business leaders, as well as Nassau County, town of Oyster and New York state dignitaries including governor Kathy Hochul.

Serving on the Racanelli Construction team are project executive Nicholas Racanelli, project manager Mike Marshall, project supervisor Keith Wood, and project administrator Annette Cruz.
