Paterson, NJ Adelaide Polsinelli, vice chairman of Compass along with senior executive director, Lauren Curcio, also of Compass, have leased 22,000 s/f of industrial warehouse space to Urban Umbrella.

The property, located at 175 Lewis St., offers access to Manhattan and all major regional destinations.

Urban Umbrella became the first new sidewalk scaffolding design on the market in over 50 years and was bestowed the exclusive right to produce sidewalk scaffolding that differs from the traditional hunter green New York City Building Code-mandated standard.

Urban Umbrella is one of the only alternatives to traditional sidewalk scaffolding on the market. To support its expansion, the firm relocated from a smaller facility in Brooklyn.

Urban Umbrella recently completed its first project in Montréal, installing one of its new products outside the National Bank Tower at 600 Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest. The company’s signature white scaffolding product was installed as the 1983 office building undergoes renovations led by JCB Construction Canada, a Canadian contractor.

“After touring many sites, we targeted this exceptional opportunity. 175 Lewis St. is a perfect situation for Urban Umbrella. Its proximity to many of Urban Umbrella’s current projects will enable the firm to capitalize on expansion into the New Jersey market as well as other national markets,” said Polsinelli.

James Arnason, CEO of Urban Umbrella, said, “This facility gives us the space, accessibility, and infrastructure we need to scale efficiently. Its location provides seamless connectivity to New York City and the tri-state area, while the building layout supports our growing production and logistics needs. It’s the ideal hub for the next phase of our company’s growth.”

Compass’ Polsinelli and Curcio, collaborated with Eric Lewins of Team Resources, who represented the ownership, Folman Management Company LLC.
