Planit joins Adirondack Capital Partners

Spencer Planit

Manhattan, NY Spencer Planit has joined Adirondack Capital Partners (ACP) as director. Planit brings a background in both brokerage and principal-side real estate, with expertise in high street retail and mixed-use assets.

At ACP, Planit will lead sourcing and execution efforts for retail, multifamily and office transactions across the Northeast.  He will work closely with global investors, institutions and family offices to identify and structure investment opportunities in both urban and suburban gateway markets.

“Spencer exemplifies what we look for at ACP — entrepreneurial mindset, technical fluency, and a strong pulse on retail markets,” said Michael Hunter Coghill, managing partner at ACP. “His experience across leasing, ownership, and investment sales gives him a unique 360-degree view of asset value and market positioning.  As we continue to expand our retail platform, his leadership and insight will be invaluable.”

Planit began his career at Winick Realty Group, where he represented some of New York’s most prominent landlords and developers. He later joined RXR Realty on the ownership side, where he oversaw leasing and strategic oversight for a 1.2 million s/f multi-market retail portfolio.  Most recently, he helped launch the investment sales division at RTL (formerly Winick Realty), working closely with institutional investors and private capital sources to drive retail investment activity across Manhattan and beyond.

“What attracted me to ACP was the consistency and quality of their deal flow,” said Planit. “This is a team that doesn’t just talk about execution — they prove it in the market. The platform is focused, sophisticated, and growing fast. I’m excited to help accelerate that momentum, especially across high street retail and urban mixed-use.”

A native New Yorker and graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Economics, Planit brings strong analytical and market instincts to every deal. Outside of work, he’s an avid triathlete — a sport he took up to push beyond traditional endurance training.

With Planit’s addition, ACP continues to expand its specialized verticals, reinforcing its position as a trusted capital markets advisor to the most active private and institutional investors across the U.S.
