Tino Popescu (MSN, APRN, A-GNP-C) has been promoted to chief clinical operations officer, a role created to provide centralized leadership of Maplewood’s clinical operations.
With more than 11 years at Maplewood and Insp?r (with a brief hiatus), Popescu has been at the center of the company’s mission, consistently driving clinical excellence through innovation, compassion, and dedication.
Based in Monroe, Conn., Popescu has elevated care practices, strengthened training and professional development across communities, and led transformative initiatives such as the rebuild of Yardi and rollout of SeniorIQ, which enhanced data-driven insights, and the adoption of SafelyYou, which advanced fall detection, prevention, and resident safety. Just as importantly, Popescu has built capable, empowered teams, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to succeed.
As chief clinical operations officer, Popescu will guide the strategic direction of Maplewood’s clinical systems, ensuring that best-in-class care continues to define the organization across all communities.
Maplewood Senior Living has named Samantha Spino as chief accounting officer (CAO). Spino has partnered with Maplewood since 2019 as a trusted consultant, bringing expertise and steady guidance to the company’s financial operations.
Based in Monroe, Conn., Spino leads with integrity and collaboration, empowering both her team and community leaders. Among her many contributions, she spearheaded the rollout of Vena, Maplewood’s cloud-based financial planning and business intelligence platform. By updating to an integrated, AI-powered system, Spino and her team have delivered real-time insights, stronger data controls, and a single source of truth for decision-making. This transformation has fundamentally elevated Maplewood’s ability to plan, collaborate, and grow.
As CAO, Spino will lead accounting, reporting, audit, compliance, and financial strategy function, strengthening Maplewood’s financial foundation while aligning resources to support the company’s long-term vision.
