Philipps of Katz & Associates represents Housing Works Cannabis Co. in lease at 750 Broadway

Manhattan, NY Housing Works, a non-profit thrift shop business, is among the first to receive a state-approved license for selling recreational cannabis, and Katz & Associates’ director Sean Philipps is representing Housing Works Cannabis Co in lease for its first retail store. Newmark’s Gary Alterman represented the landlord for the store located at 750 Broadway (at the southeast corner of 8th St.) The location, a former Gap Men store, features 4,400 s/f on the ground floor and a lower level of approximately 3,000 s/f. The store is slated to open December 29, 2022.

Philipps said, “I’ve helped Housing Works for years with leases for their thrift shop business, so it’s really exciting to be a part of their new Housing Works Cannabis Co venture. I’m happy for Housing Works Cannabis Co to be selected as one of 30-something recipients from over 900 applicants to receive a license from the Office of Cannabis Management to get in from the start on this new legal and regulated retail.”
