Uniondale, NY David Pernick has joined Harris Beach PLLC as an associate in the commercial real estate practice group.
Pernick represents institutional and private lenders in a multitude of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, refinances, construction financing and revolving credit facilities. He represents a range of clients in commercial real estate transactions, including financings, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, redevelopment, land use and zoning. He has experience conducting due diligence and reviewing title reports, civil engineering plans, organizational documents, commercial leases and property surveys to help facilitate the purchase, financing and development of mixed-use, multi-family, office and industrial properties. Pernick has appeared before local municipalities to obtain zoning and legislative approvals in connection with real estate developments.
When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
