O'Brien of M.C. O'Brien speaks about the organizations he belongs to

What organizations do you belong to and how have they impacted your business? "I hold membership in the Society of Industrial & Office Realtors. This organization is comprised of the preeminent real estate service providers in commercial real estate. An SIOR is at the top of his game. He is recognized by a distinguished list of clients as well as a professional ability to make deals. As a member, I have networked with quite a few noted corporations and the professionals that work for them. When a national firm has a requirement in my market, it is good to be recognized as a broker who can satisfy that space requirement. From a more local perspective, I sit on the board of directors of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, the Boy Scouts of Brooklyn and the Boys & Girls Club of Brooklyn. One never knows where a deal referral will come from." Michael O'Brien III, SIOR, is CEO and director of industrial leasing and sales of M.C. O'Brien, Inc., Brooklyn, N.Y.
