Nigro named a Public Interest Attorney of the Year by Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center

Stacey Ramis Nigro, partner in the Litigation Practice Group at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman, LLP, was recognized by Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, as one of nine attorneys who reach out to those in need. She received the award at Touro's 17th Annual Goods & Services Auction, a benefit for the Summer Public Interest Law Fellowship for Touro students. Nigro is a 2002 graduate of Touro Law School and holds her undergraduate degree in Sociology from the State University of Albany. She concentrates her practice on all aspects of commercial and real estate litigation including landlord/tenant matters, business disputes, creditors' rights and estate litigations. Active in her community, Nigro sits on the fundraising committee of the American Heart Association's annual Golf Outing fundraiser and works with the Nassau County Bar Association's Moot Court competition for the local law schools. In addition, she serves as an alumni mentor for Touro Law School and recently began volunteering once a month with the Nassau County Mortgage Foreclosure clinic. Before deciding to become an attorney, Ms. Nigro worked for eight years with the Education and Assistance Corporation and was the Director of its Nassau and Suffolk County Mediation Programs.
