New group, JLL Financial Services in the Americas, to serve the financial services industry

Chicago, IL JLL has annouced the formation of JLL Financial Services in the Americas. Led by president Bobby Magnano and vice chairman Giles Wrench, the new group harnesses JLL’s extensive industry expertise, including research, consulting, transactions, portfolio optimization, capital spend, workplace experience design and facility operations.

“The pandemic ushered in rapid change and forced companies to evolve. Helping clients create differentiation through deep industry expertise is more critical than ever,” said Sanjay Rishi, Americas CEO, Work Dynamics, JLL. “This is a major step in JLL’s goal to provide tailored services and industry focus to clients in the largest business sector in the Americas. The new practice will bring together our differentiated solutions and services to support the distinct needs of the financial services industry.”

Additional areas of focus for JLL Financial Services include sustainability, integrated technology, data security and risk management, which are all critical to financial services clients.

“The ever-present need to deliver value to customers, communities and shareholders presents a unique set of challenges to the financial services industry,” said John Gates, CEO Americas Markets, JLL. “Having a deep understanding of these demands and aligning our people, products and services under Bobby and Giles will elevate the expertise and experience our clients expect from us.”

Magnano joined JLL in 2021 as the global account executive for the Bank of America account, where he led a global team of over 1,200 employees, ensuring operational and service excellence across the full scope of real estate and advisory services JLL provides. Magnano brings more than 26 years of industry expertise having previously served as senior vice president of Enterprise Services for Capital One.

“We have assembled a world-class team of financial services experts who partner closely with our clients to ensure they get the most out of their real estate investments,” said Magnano. “I’m excited to collaborate with Giles to bring together the full scale and capabilities of our firm to help solve the complex challenges facing our clients today.”

Wrench has worked in real estate for more than 27 years, with the last 14 years in a variety of leadership roles within JLL. Most recently, Wrench served as principal in the Solutions Development team supporting the account needs of JLL’s banking and financial services clients in New York City. Wrench has previously worked in the banking industry holding leadership roles in Hong Kong and London, including several years at BNP Paribas.

“This is an incredibly exciting time to be supporting our financial services clients,” said Wrench. “Changes in the way we work, the importance of DE&I in our communities and the increasingly complex regulatory framework surrounding climate risk requires delivering an integrated approach grounded in the best technology. Combining JLL’s expertise across services and geographies with a team devoted to helping our financial services clients is energizing, and something I’m proud to help shape with Bobby."
