Nelson + Pope welcomes Adhya and Elmen

Melville, NY Nelson + Pope welcome two new employees to the firm: Tanima Adhya, PE and Robert Elmen.

Adhya joins Nelson + Pope’s Water and Wastewater Department as a QA/QC officer with 27 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Nelson + Pope, Adhya served as associate public health engineer and supervisor of the Office of Wastewater Management for the Suffolk County Department of Health Services. She brings knowledge of commercial, residential, public and subdivision sewage treatment facilities and Suffolk County Sewer Districts.

In this position, Adhya will provide quality assurance/quality control, process design/process control for sewage treatment, and prepare constructability review for wastewater infrastructure and commercial projects.

Elmen is the new director of operations for Nelson + Pope and environmental affiliate Nelson Pope Voorhis. Elmen has 28 years of federal government experience in national security and tactical operations from his four years serving as an officer in the US Army and 24 years as a special agent/supervisory special agent for the FBI’s NY office. Risk analysis and mitigation, strategic planning, budget forecasting and administration are a few of the many skills he brings to the firm.

Elmen will support the day-to-day operations of our offices by taking on responsibilities such as facilities and fleet management, human resources, and additional internal business procedures.
