Nassimi Realty adds two new stores to Canton Centre totaling 8,021 s/f

Nassimi Realty has added two new stores to the newly renovated Canton Centre Mall totaling 8,021 s/f, including a 5,000 s/f Colortyme rent-to-own center and a 3,021 s/f Velocity sports apparel and memorabilia store. Nassimi Realty completed major improvements to the 433,500 s/f center including the addition of a new 10,000 s/f multi-tenant out lot building at the corner of Tuscarawas St. and Whipple Ave., façade renovations and a partial "demalling" of the interior space including the opening of new storefronts and doors to the outside. Velocity is a successful regional retailer with a number of stores in the Canton, North Canton & St. Clairsville, Ohio markets. With over 4,000 items in stock, they specialize in footwear, artwork, memorabilia and sports themed apparel including NCAA, NFL, NBA and MLB gear. Colortyme Rent To Own offers name brand home furnishings, appliances and electronics. It is the oldest rent-to-own or rental purchase franchisor in the U.S. with 220 locations. Canton Centre is currently anchored by a Super Wal-Mart and a JC Penney store, with plans underway for development of additional anchor store space. Other retailers in the centre include DOTS, Sally Beauty Supply, DEB, GameStop, Hibbett Sports, Chase Bank, Penn Station, Ziegler Tire, The Cellular Connection and Immediadent. Nassimi Realty president, Mike Nassimi said, "We are continuing a phased demalling of the enclosed public areas of Canton Centre to make it easier for shoppers to access stores from the parking areas. These changes are designed to compliment the changing retail mix in the expanding Canton Market." Winbrook Management of New York City represents Nassimi Realty in leasing and management of Canton Centre. Winbrook is also the leasing and management agent for over five million sq. ft. of commercial and retail space throughout New York, New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, North Carolina, Missouri and Philadelphia markets.
