Mid Hudson Construction Management finishes Firehouse Lofts renovation project in Poughkeepsie

Poughkeepsie, NY In its ongoing commitment to economic development in Dutchess County, Mid Hudson Construction Management (MHCM) revealed the recently completed renovation of the former Arlington Firehouse at 766 Main St. Named “The Firehouse Lofts,” the project consists of four brand-new, one-bedroom lofts, as well as a large first-floor commercial space.

Shown (from left) are: New York State senator Sue Serino, Town of Poughkeepsie supervisor Jon Jay Baisley, co-owners of Mid Hudson Construction Management (MHCM) Scott Travis and Ray Travis, Arlington fire chief William Steenbergh and MHCM’s vice president of marketing and business development Brian Powers.

Members of the Arlington Fire Department, including Arlington fire chief William Steenbergh, were onsite to help celebrate the history of the building as well as the creative redevelopment of the storied site.

“It’s our mission at MHCM, as a family-owned business, to ensure that every project we take on contributes to our community in a positive way, and that we do work we’re proud of personally, whether it be constructing the new or revitalizing the old,” said Ray Travis, co-owner of MHCM.

To further honor the legacy of the first Arlington Firehouse, MHCM unveiled a dedicated plaque as a tribute to the building’s rich history and presented an oversized check and donation to the Arlington Fire Department. The funds will be used to refurbish the memorial for fallen firefighters on Burnett Blvd.

“It’s our hope that these lofts and this building will serve a greater purpose for the community at large, as this project has provided both new spaces to call home and a new space to bring the community together,” said Scott Travis, brother of Ray and co-owner of MHCM.
