McCaffrey of PWGC selected as Top 20 Under 40 by ENR Magazines

According to P.W. Grosser Consulting (PWGC), Brian McCaffrey, PE, senior project manager, has been chosen as one of ENR Magazines A/E/C's Tri-State area Top 20 Under 40 who positively impact the industry. He was chosen among 100+ applicants in the architect, engineering and consulting fields. McCaffrey has over 14 years of experience and expertise in alternative fuels facility design, deactivation & decommissioning (D&D) of radiological and non-radiological facilities, environmental remediation, forensic engineering, stormwater management, structural design & analysis, and water & wastewater treatment. Since joining PWGC in 2000, McCaffrey has established an impressive portfolio of alternative fueling station projects including compressed natural gas, hydrogen, biodiesel and ethanol-85. His experience includes, but is not limited to: fueling station planning and design, equipment specification, construction observation, and facility commissioning. McCaffrey's expertise in these areas allows him to provide and manage a team of engineers/vendors to develop the necessary civil, mechanical, and electrical design details and specifications required for obtaining construction permits and bid documents. He has also provided numerous presentations on the topic of alternative fueling stations. McCaffrey received his B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Notre Dame (IN), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and an M.B.A in Finance from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is a registered professional engineer in New York, Washington, and Florida. McCaffrey is affiliated with many organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and the Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition (GLICCC), and currently serves on the board of directors for the New York State Society of Professional Engineers (NYSSPE) - Suffolk Chapter. He also serves as the chairperson of the Village of Port Jefferson (NY) Conservation Advisory Council and is a member of the Village of Port Jefferson (NY) Economic Development Council.
