Mc Gowan Builders completes CCM 10,000 s/f senior care facility fit-out

General contractor and construction manager Mc Gowan Builders, Inc. (MGB) recently completed an expansion and complete interior fit-out of the CCM senior care facility located at 1140 Seneca Ave. in the Ridgewood neighborhood. The 10,000 s/f center, operated by Comprehensive Care Management Corp., (CCM) provides day care, medical, and physical therapy services for seniors. The $2.6 million project encompassed the addition of a new second floor, exterior and interior renovation of the pre-existing one-story manufacturing building, complete interior fit-out of the entire facility, installation of all medical and MEP systems, construction of the surface parking, and extensive site work. Patrick Mc Gowan, MGB president and CEO, said, "Construction of the CCM medical center called for a challenging structural reinforcement of the pre-existing building, necessary to support the addition of the second floor. The MGB project team installed new footings and a new structural steel system without significantly modifying the pre-existing structure, which shortened the schedule and reduced the cost." The project team included architect Rolf Karl, AIA, and structural engineer Raphael Bassan Consulting Engineers.
