Levin Management leases 75,000 s/f to Fairway Market

Fairway Market is coming to Westchester County. Owners of the gourmet grocery store have signed a lease for 75,000 s/f at Post Rd. Plaza, in a transaction negotiated by Levin Management Corp., the property's exclusive leasing and managing agent. Harry Malakoff represented the tenant. Mayor Tom Lavin said, "We are delighted that Fairway has chosen to open at Post Rd. Plaza in Pelham Manor. We are confident that they will draw customers from a wide trade area and be very successful. Fairway's choice validates Pelham Manor's retail district as a desirable location for leading retailers." Located at the intersection of Pelham Pwy. and Boston Post Rd. (U.S. 1), the 268,000 s/f Post Rd. Plaza is undergoing a total renovation. The changes are planned to give the plaza an updated and upscale look, in keeping with the renaissance now underway in this neighborhood. "The renovation will set the stage for an exciting new chapter in the evolution of this center," said Matthew Harding, president of Levin Management. "Many of our stores will be re-opening as the first phase of the renovation wraps later this year. These include Modell's, which will open an improved and upgraded store; Dress Barn, which plans to expand its premises; as well as A.J. Wright, Mandee and others. CitiBank and OTB, because of their locations, are remaining open throughout."
