Khosrova named executive vice president & general counsel at TechCity

Mitchell Khosrova has been appointed executive vice president & general counsel at TechCity, according to Dan Wieneke, president of TechCity Properties. Khosrova will be a part of TechCity's development team, whose mission is to establish TechCity as the hub for sustainable industry markets in the greater New York, New Jersey and Connecticut region. He joins Alan Ginsberg, chairman of TechCity Properties, Inc.; Wieneke, and John Cerveny VP for government affairs, as a key member of TechCity's senior executive staff. Ginsberg said, "TechCity is expanding its management team and its capability for serving the companies that have chosen to locate at our 'mega facility,' and to support and attract new businesses to our cleantech cluster." Wieneke said, "We are thrilled to have him at TechCity and we intend to put all his talents to the fullest possible use in attracting new tenants." Khosrova said, "As a true believer in sustainability, I've been extremely impressed by the work being undertaken by the companies who comprise the TechCity community. I support their goal of job growth, particularly in all areas of green energy technology and product development. I look forward to assisting present and future tenants in growing their businesses and developing new technologies and products for the global green economy." Prior to joining TechCity, Khosrova held a senior position within NYSERDA. He supported NYSERDA's various programs from which he gained a holistic view of the potential of clean energy and energy efficient capabilities and their positive impact on job growth. He also provided legal support to NYSERDA work groups, including those promulgating energy efficiency equipment standards, as well as advising the agency's Program Planning Committee of the Board. Khosrova also was of counsel to several leading New York State law firms. He had a solo law practice, and he served as chief of the Enforcement & Compliance Assurance Bureau of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in all federal District Courts of New York.
