JSA Design completes Sunrise of Huntington assisted living community in Huntington Station

Huntington Station, NY JSA Design, an architecture, planning and interior design firm headquartered in Portsmouth, N.H., celebrated the completion of Sunrise of Huntington, a new Sunrise Senior Living assisted living community.

The two-story, 78,000 s/f building provides 90 units with space for 136 assisted living and Reminiscence memory care residents comprising one-bedroom units, two-bedroom units, and Denver units that have two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. Common areas—living rooms, dining rooms and activity rooms—are located on each floor to serve both the assisted living and memory care residents. Amenities ranging from an entertainment center and movie theater to medical exam and physical therapy rooms accommodate diverse lifestyles. Natural sunlight bathes the fenced courtyards and manicured gardens that provide areas for residents to safely wander.

“We’re delighted with the opening of this state-of-the-art community as we continue to grow and support the high demand for senior housing in the New York metropolitan area,” said Robin Tufts, AIA, senior associate at JSA Design. “We were proud to design this addition to the Sunrise family of senior living residences. The lush grounds and first-class amenities reflect their commitment to offer well-appointed and thoughtful services to seniors and their families.”
