Houlihan Lawrence forms partnership with website Trulia.com

Houlihan Lawrence, the largest independently owned and operated residential real estate brokerage in the Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties of New York, has announced an exclusive online marketing partnership with Trulia.com, the fastest-growing real estate Web site in the U.S. and a leader in real estate search. Under terms of the agreement, Houlihan Lawrence listings and branding will receive featured placement on Trulia's Web site when users search homes for sale in the Lower Hudson Valley. "With more than 80% of today's homebuyers using the Internet to conduct their initial research, we recognize that online exposure has replaced print advertising as the most important component of an overall real estate marketing plan," said Chris Meyers, chief operating officer at Houlihan Lawrence. "We think Trulia has developed one of the most innovative, consumer-friendly Web sites in real estate, so this partnership was a natural choice for us to reach more buyers and enhance the value we bring to our seller clients." Houlihan Lawrence bought the exclusive right to have only its banner ads positioned on the Trulia Web site next to listings information for every town in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties. The deal also includes Featured placement in the top three search results for Houlihan Lawrence listings that match Trulia users' search criteria. Trulia has guaranteed Houlihan Lawrence a certain number of page views for each town per month and will give the company the first option to buy any views above that. Houlihan Lawrence also has the right to extend the agreement past the initial six-month time frame.
