Helweil joins Loeb & Loeb as partner in real estate investments & transactions

Manhattan, NY Brian Helweil has joined Loeb & Loeb as a partner in the real estate investments & transactions department. Helweil represents a variety of clients in commercial real estate transactions covering office and retail leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and financings.

“We are thrilled to announce another key addition to our busy real estate investments & transactions department. In response to growing demand, we have continued to expand our team and deepen our capabilities as we increasingly service a wider client base,” said Christopher Barbaruolo, chair of the real estate investments & transactions department.

“We are pleased to welcome Brian and witness the continued growth of our real estate investments & transactions department. We are always committed to adding top talent in key areas and building deeper benches to better serve our clients,” said Laurie Ruckel, office managing partner.

Helweil has represented many of New York City’s largest landlords and tenants in various commercial leasing matters involving ground leases, office leases, retail leases, subleases, and other related transactions. He has also advised both purchasers and sellers in complex negotiations focused on the sale, purchase and financing of commercial properties throughout the country. He has also represented several building owners in connection with leasehold condominium conversions.  

“Loeb is highly regarded for the strength and sophistication of its real estate investments & transactions team,” said Helweil. “I’m very excited to be working with such a distinguished and talented group of attorneys.” 

Helweil earned his B.A. from New York University and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He joins Loeb & Loeb from Fried Frank.
