Gauntlet Private secures $6.5 million loan in FL

Panama City, FL Gauntlet Private Investments, a real estate-focused private equity firm, secured a $6.5 million loan for a campground. The property, which includes land and a hotel and campground, is commonly used for Christian retreats. The client required a bridge loan to take out an existing note holder with a fast-approaching maturity date. The loan proved difficult due to the special use nature of the property. “Our firm works with clients in distressed financial situations and takes pride in meeting capital challenges,” said Michael Clinton, founder of Gauntlet Private Investments. “While some of our stronger lenders threw their hands up on this deal because there was little chance of selling it as more than just land in the event of default, we were able to secure the funds.”
