4,000 s/f office fit-out at 1201 Broadway in Manhattan.

Brooklyn, NY The Brooklyn-based multi-family, commercial and institutional architectural firm IMC Architecture has launched its new interior design studio. Director of design Federigo Luzzi leads the new interior practice, with focus on workplace, commercial, retail, hospitality and residential work.
“Our new interior design group will both serve its own clients and support IMC’s architectural projects. The studio will take advantage of the increasing volume of interior work in the New York City, national and international markets,” said IMC principal Eugene Mekhtiyev, AIA, LEED GA.
“Our interior design team brings together a group of accomplished designers with a wealth of experience and familiarity with international and multi-cultural aesthetics and practices. This expertise has already helped us win several new corporate, educational and residential projects,” said Luzzi.
IMC Architecture’s recent and current projects include the 4,000 s/f office fit-out for Brooksville Company and 1,000 s/f workplace for We Lend, both in Manhattan; 10,000 s/f office for Bawabeh Realty Holdings in Brooklyn as well as design work for several charter and private schools in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn. In the hospitality and retail markets, the studio designed the new Le Café Coffee at One Dag office tower, located at 885 Second Ave. in Midtown Manhattan.
Known for its quality architecture, contemporary aesthetic, technical acumen and zoning expertise, IMC Architecture has designed some of the most prominent recent projects in New York City and the greater New York area. The firm is one of the pioneers of the modular design and construction technology in New York City and regional multi-family properties. In addition to design services, the firm also operates an affiliated zoning, expediting and permitting consultancy CORE Consultants.
Three principals established IMC in 2015, following accomplished careers at leading regional and national firms: Eugene Mekhtiyev, AIA, LEED GA; Jonathan Imani, AIA, NCARB; and Dominick Casale, AIA, NCARB. Working mainly in the highly regulated urban environments of New York City and the greater New York area, the founders believe compliance and creativity aren’t mutually exclusive. “We play by the regulatory rules and design beautiful buildings,” said Casale.
The firm’s portfolio features in excess of seven million s/f of architectural design and zoning consulting projects, totaling more than $750 million in construction value. IMC Architecture’s luxury, market-rate and affordable condominium and rental multi-family design work includes the 41-unit 550 Prospect Place and 16-unit 701-703 Lafayette Ave. in Brooklyn; 155-unit 289-299 East 161st St., 21-unit 35 Kingston Ave. and 34,000 s/f Croton Residence in the Bronx; 70-unit The Grand and 73-unit NewRo in New Rochelle; and multiple upgrades to the 37-story, 807-unit 63-67 Wall St. rental property in Manhattan.
