Los Angeles, CA Colliers Mortgage has hired real estate investment veterans Tommy Adelson to the position of vice president, transactions, and Jessica Mania as vice president, research and marketing. This follows the recent move of Jonathan Lee and partner Shahin Yazdi to Colliers Mortgage as co-leaders the firm’s structured finance group. The team is responsible for sourcing debt and equity for all categories of commercial real estate assets throughout the west.
“As we continue to build out our team, we are looking for rising industry leaders who have the experience, integrity and drive to get even the most difficult deals done, from sourcing to close,” said Lee. “Over the past 10 years Tommy has proven to be just that and we are excited to have him aboard.”
“Similarly, our past working experience with Jessica just cemented our belief that her research expertise and marketing acumen were needed in a rapidly expanding organization such as Colliers Mortgage,” said Yazdi. “We look forward to the market intelligence and marketing vision that allows our team to deliver the best advice and plans that allow our clients to make smarter investment decisions.”
Adelson brings more than a decade of real estate debt and equity experience to his position at Colliers Mortgage. Most recently, Adelson was a director at Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a leading real estate investment advisory firm, where he was responsible for sourcing and closing permanent, construction, and bridge debt, as well as preferred and joint venture equity. Adelson’s previous experience was gained as vice president at George Smith Partners where he was rising executive on a team that sourced approximately $900 million of commercial real estate debt and equity in 2022.
For the past two and half years, Mania served at George Smith Partners (GSP) where her most recent position was director of research and marketing. She led the research department in providing due diligence and market intelligence integral to all transactions. She also spearheaded the firm’s marketing efforts that led to GSP being one of the most recognized commercial real estate brands in Los Angeles. Prior to GSP, she held positions with Business Finance Capital and Avison Young.
