CBRE Group, Inc. retained to lease entire 21st floor of 620 Eighth Avenue, the New York Times Building

CBRE Group, Inc. has been retained to market for lease the entire 21st floor measuring 30,917 s/f at 620 Eighth Avenue, also known as The New York Times Building. The CBRE team of Zachary Freeman, Ramneek Rikhy, Mary Ann Tighe, Gregory Tosko and Sacha Zarba will market the space, which will be available for occupancy in April 2014. "The 21st floor of 620 Eighth Avenue offers a ready-to-go, state-of-the-art opportunity with spectacular views of the Hudson River, Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building," said Tosko. "The new 21st floor occupant will reap the benefits of the superior design and infrastructure of a thoughtful owner occupant, from shades and lighting that automatically adjust for time of day, day of year and daylight, to specially conditioned air to enhance the everyday work environment. In addition, the 21st floor tenant will have access to The New York Times cafeteria, which serves three meals daily, and the ability to hire the beautiful 378-person auditorium on the ground floor of their building." In addition to being virtually column free with eight corners, floor to ceiling glass, and 9'7"- finished ceiling height, the space boasts an under-floor air and ceiling design that is not only efficient, but provides the ultimate flexibility to change layouts without incurring the typical huge capital expense. A 1.6 million sq. ft., 52-story building, designed by Renzo Piano in 2007, The New York Times Building is located between 40th and 41st streets, with proximity to Times Square, Grand Central Station, Pennsylvania Station and Port Authority Bus Terminal, as well as the 1, 2, 3, N, R, Q, A, C, E, 4, 5, 6, 7, and S subway lines. Tenants in the building include Goodwin Procter LLP, Covington & Burling LLP and Legg Mason, Inc.
