Brooklyn Hospital Foundation to honor Mosler of Cushman & Wakefield

Bruce Mosler, chairman of global brokerage at Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), will be honored as the 2014 Founders Medalist at The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation's Founders Ball on June 10th, at the N.Y. Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. Mosler, who from 2005 to 2010 served as CEO for C&W, advises tenants and global investors on strategic real estate matters and the optimization of real estate portfolios. Through his work for some of the world's most iconic properties, Mosler has been responsible for millions of s/f of leases with aggregate values over several billion dollars. Mosler currently serves as co-chairman of the board for The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum and he recently spearheaded Cushman & Wakefield's participation as a founding member of JPMorgan Chase's 100,000 Jobs Mission for veterans. Mosler also serves as chairman of BENS (Business Executives for National Security) and as the chair of the Wharton Executive Education Advisory Board. He is a member of the board of governors of the Real Estate Board of New York as well as boards of many other charitable organizations. "The future of the borough and our ability to keep Brooklyn healthy are contingent upon the quality of Brooklyn's healthcare and infrastructure," said The Brooklyn Hospital Center president and CEO Richard Becker, MD, in announcing this year's honorees. "Mr. Mosler exemplifies this synergy, and we are proud to honor his accomplishments in volunteerism, philanthropy and service to the community." In keeping with the hospital's focus on Brooklyn infrastructure, the Founders Ball will feature a dance floor-sized, Monopoly-style board game complete with options to "purchase" local real estate, brand monuments, and place condominiums on every corner. NY1 anchor and Brooklyn resident Pat Kiernan will host a session of the "Good Deeds" game during the gala and each guest will leave with a boxed version of the game to play at home. A portion of the proceeds will fund the expansion and modernization of the hospital's emergency dept. For more information, contact Deborah Niederhoffer at (718) 250-8599 or email [email protected].
