BMAR to hold 85th Annual Banquet on April 23, 2009

The Banquet Committee unanimously selected the 85th Annual Award Recipients to be recognized at the formal event scheduled for April 23, 2009. This major networking event will be held at the elegant Marina del Rey Caterers on the water's edge with an extraordinary view of both the Whitestone and Throgs Neck Bridges in the Bronx, New York. The Annual Banquet of the Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors (BMAR) is a black tie function and a well known industry networking event for professionals active in the business and real estate community. The association unites the real estate industry and business community by bringing together hundreds of members, companies, and friends from throughout the New York metropolitan region to network and renew old friendships. An impressive group of industry business and elected officials will be in attendance as Dais Guests. Networking Cocktail Hour begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the program and formal dinner at 7 p.m. Sponsorships and journal advertising opportunities are available. Prior speakers included: NYC comptroller William Thompson, Jr.; NYC Police commissioner Raymond Kelly; mayor Michael Bloomberg; mayor Rudolph Giuliani; former first lady and senator of the U.S. Hillary Clinton; congressman Charles Schumer now senator; governor Nelson Rockefeller; U.S. senator Jacob Javitz; mayor John Lindsay; secretary of state hon. Randy Daniels; U.S. attorney general Robert Kennedy; Bronx borough president Adolfo Carrión; and Sandy Treadwell, secretary of state for New York. Top leadership of the National Association of Realtors with over 1.2 million members and other distinguished guests attend this major industry event each year.
