Barnes & Noble to open new store in East Northport

Barnes & Noble, Inc. will open a new bookstore in Huntington Sq. at 4000 East Jericho Tpke. Barnes & Noble looks forward to returning to the area and serving its loyal customers who visited the store at 5001 Jericho Tpke. in Commack, which closed at the end of 2005. The new store will stock close to 200,000 book, music, DVD and magazine titles, and include a fireplace and a café serving Starbuck's coffee. The new East Northport Barnes & Noble will employ 85 people from the community. Barnes & Noble is the nation's top bookseller in quality, and for the fifth year in a row, the top bookseller brand, as determined by a combination of the brand's performance on familiarity, quality and purchase intent, according to the EquiTrend® Brand Study by Harris Interactive®.
