2025 Ones To Watch - Industry Leaders: Jeffrey Levine Founder & Chairman The Douglaston Companies

Founder & Chairman
The Douglaston Companies

Recent goal and impact:

Douglaston Development is nearing completion on the extensive capital improvement plan at Linden and Penn-Wortman Houses, in partnership with The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), where over 1,900 units have been substantially rehabilitated, in addition to exterior façade and facility upgrades. Having grown up in the Linden Houses for a portion of my childhood, bringing these much-needed renovations to both sites is incredibly meaningful to me and we look forward to welcoming residents to their new homes.

Giving Back:

This year, Douglaston Development is the proud sponsor of the NYCHA Real Estate Scholars program in partnership with the Public Housing Community Fund and New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. This program is designed to provide NYCHA residents, starting as early as high school, with valuable exposure to the real estate industry. As a former NYCHA resident myself, it has been incredibly rewarding to give back to this community by leading workshops, classes, property tours and more.

Best advice for new leaders:

Honesty is the best policy!
