New York, NY For Norman Bobrow, hiring summer interns is something he takes very seriously. Not too many small companies in New York can say they hired 17 summer interns. But at Norman Bobrow and Co. Inc., that is something that occurs every summer.

“I want to teach students how to make a living in the real estate business so they will be able to support themselves and someday their families,” said Norman Bobrow, president and founder of Norman Bobrow, the full-service real estate firm that specializes in tenant representation for leasing and relocation.

This summer 12 of the interns hired attend Yeshiva University and a few others attend select colleges. “I understand how difficult it is to overcome challenges and to discover one’s strengths in the business world and I want to help young people get started on their personal journeys,” said Bobrow.

“This summer was an incredible learning opportunity for me,” said Yeshiva University intern Jacob Herenstein who worked alongside Bobrow and Co.’s managing director Joshua Berger on various projects that included learning how to do space surveys, show office space to clients and even participate in key tenant/landlord negotiations. “I believe the experience will help me develop important skills in the real estate world,” he said.

University of Buffalo intern Spencer Colwin agreed, saying he gained top notch knowledge and a full understanding of the industry, “while working hand-in-hand with some of the top, most educated brokers in the business.”  He especially thanked Norman Bobrow for making the summer a great experience.
