Wilkinson of AKF Group appointed chair of AIA commissioning sub-committee
Ronald Wilkinson, PE, LEED AP and a LEED commissioning mechanical engineer at AKF Group LLC, was recently appointed chair of the newly formed AIA commissioning committee of the Center for Building Science and Performance (CBSP). He is leading the committee in planning for the upcoming CBSP Symposium to be held on March 5-6, 2009 at the AIA National Headquarters, Washington, D.C. This is the first in a series of discussions, papers and web-based resources to assist architects in understanding and using the commissioning process to their best advantage.
A member of the editorial board of Heating/ Piping/ Air Conditioning Engineering magazine, Wilkinson is an international speaker on commissioning practices and has been published in the ASHRAE Journal, HPAC, Energy User News, Engineered Systems and Engineering News-Record magazines. He is an ASHRAE distinguished lecturer and an AIA continuing education lecturer and authored the USGBC LEED-NC commissioning training program.
