Video Doorman launches its Safe Lobby system and expands in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan
LONG ISLAND CITY, NY Most real estate property managers and police departments agree that 95% of apartment building crime begins at the front door. Now Video Doorman Safe Lobby is the first proactive security system to prevent lobby loitering and monitor lobbies for safety. It's so unique there's a patent pending.
The Video Doorman Safe Lobby System provides a residential apartment building with remote security and surveillance 24/7, just like an actual doorman or guard. It limits access only to tenants; it makes sure the front door is closed; it detects forced entry; it welcomes and escorts tenants into the building 24/7; and it prohibits loitering in the lobby. Access control, monitoring and recording are all rolled into one system!
How It Works
The system integrates a card reader and front door contact with cameras, speakers and microphones in the lobby and the elevator. The high quality Digital Video Recorder with Video Analytics is linked via high-speed IT line to our Central Station, allowing us to literally be the doorman of your building.
Key benefits are offered with Video Doorman Safe Lobby include:
* Card access door control & management
* Central station monitoring
* Entry/surveillance
* Video analytics to prevent lobby loitering
* 24/7 video recording
* Door ajar notification to management
* Latchkey child notification to parents
* Forced entry alert to management
The Video Doorman Safe Lobby System has been installed in three Bronx, New York buildings for Bronx Pro Real Estate Management on University Avenue, Buchanan Place and Jennings St. The Safe Lobby System is providing tenant safety while preventing loitering in the lobbies.
Video Doorman Package Delivery System Expands Across Metro New York
Introduced four years ago by American Security Systems Inc., a leading independent security company in the New York market for over thirty years, Video Doorman has captured the interest of residential building owners, developers, and residents who want affordable safety, security and the convenience of receiving package deliveries when they are not at home.
Video Doorman is a remote security system designed especially for condos and coops that provides better building security and remote "doorman" services for about $1 a day per unit. IT functions like an actual doorman and delivers 24/7 security, plus package delivery convenience when residents are not at home. Video Doorman has a very low maintenance cost, and adds value to new and existing units making them easier to sell.
Now, the Video Doorman System has been enhanced with several new features, including forced entry notification, door ajar notification and latchkey child notification to parents when their children come home from school.
Seven new Video Doorman Systems are being installed in buildings across Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan at 537 West 21st St., Manhattan; 239 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn; 3743 Bridge St., B Brooklyn; 180 Scholes St., Brooklyn; 80 Meserole St., Brooklyn; 545 Washington Ave., Brooklyn; and 69-14 41st Ave., Woodside, Queens. It may not be long before every condo and coop realizes the benefits Video Doorman offers residents.
