PWC honors 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women on December 14th

New York, NY Professional Women in Construction celebrated 2016 by honoring 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women, as well as honoring Richard Anderson, president of New York Building Congress. All honorees received artwork through PWC’s art partner, Uprise Art.

The evening’s program on December 14th consisted of an introduction by Sabrina Kanner, executive vice president of Brookfield Properties of Richard Anderson. As Kanner said, this will be Anderson’s last introduction as president of New York Building Congress as he has moved into a consultant role in 2017. Anderson received “the last bits of Admirals Row,” an oil painting by NYC artist, Kristin Texeira as his award for the recognition.

The 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women were announced by name and company, and a tidbit on what they had accomplished personally and professionally in 2016. Each woman received a “Backwards Benny” as their award, created by artist Rebeca Raney. The work of art is a small, bronze statue of a llama walking forward while looking backward, a sign of respect and acknowledgment of the past, while moving forward.
