Professional Women in Construction kicks off 40th year with exclusive event at Corkbuzz wine bar on Feb. 19th

New York, NY Professional Women in Construction (PWC) will be kicking off 2020 and celebrating its 40th year with an exclusive members-only event on February 19th, held at Corkbuzz. PWC is proud to be holding this event for the third time at Corkbuzz, a woman-owned wine-centric restaurant run by master sommelier, Laura Maniec. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with their fellow members while enjoying wine and canapes in an intimate atmosphere. The evening will feature a variety of wines from women-owned vineyards, specially selected and explained by Corkbuzz’s expert sommeliers.

This year’s event is organized and run by PWC New York’s Membership Committee. The committee is comprised of PWC New York members whose mission is to retain current members and recruit new members through outreach, engagement, and visibility. Throughout the year, this committee will be connecting existing and prospective members through meetings and events.

The Members Only Evening on February 19th will be the first of four events organized by the membership committee this year. The event will be held 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Corkbuzz Wine Bar, Union Sq., 13 E 13th St.

PWC New York is the founding chapter of Professional Women in Construction (PWC), a national nonprofit organization founded in 1980 that seeks to support, advance, and connect women and promote diversity within the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) and related industries. PWC’s members represent a broad spectrum of the industry that serves real estate owners, developers, facilities and property managers and public agencies. They include general construction and specialty contractors, architectural and engineering firms, environmental services, and suppliers. Because our core client industries have many needs, PWC also draws representatives from the services sector: law and accounting firms, insurance/surety and bonding companies, banks and financial services, graphic designers, printers, computer consultants, travel agencies, marketing specialists and more. Membership is open to professional women and men, private companies and public agencies in construction and allied industries.
