Lloyd Landow, senior partner of Landow & Landow Architects, has been honored at Cabrini of Westchester's 11th Annual "Sharing in Mission" Celebration Dinner for the firms contributions to the major modernization project at the St. Cabrini Nursing Home and numerous other projects Landow and Landow Architects have completed for Cabrini Eldercare Organization. The major modernization project is a 280,000 s/f addition and reconstruction of Cabrini's nursing home, a three-year endeavor designed to "create a physical framework to enhance person centered care," fully integrating the physical environment of St. Cabrini with their philosophy of personalized care. The project has culminated in a completely modernized facility designed by Landow & Landow Architects that advocates a strong sense of choice and community for residents of St. Cabrini. In modernizing St. Cabrini, Landow drew on his conviction that every client and project is unique. Landow believes, "As architects, we must put ourselves into the minds of the people who use a facility in order to understand how to design it."
